Swing vs slide
Swing gates work best on flat driveways with enough throw room inside the property. They give you a classic residential look and are usually the cheaper install.
Slide gates work best on sloped driveways, narrow driveways, or properties where a swing arm would hit a vehicle or landscape. They cost more but they solve real space problems.
Openers and access
We install pad-mount and post-mount openers from brands built for real duty cycles, not throwaway consumer units. Access options include keypads, remotes, phone-app openers, and RFID for regular vehicles.
For safety we install photo eyes and safety edges per current UL 325 guidance so the gate stops on obstructions. This is not optional on our jobs.
Power, permits, and gate design
Automatic gates need power at the gate location. We coordinate with an electrician for a proper trenched conduit run when it is not already there. Depending on gate size and location, Anna may also require a fence permit.
Gate design should match the perimeter fence. We build ornamental steel, wood-clad steel, and full wood or vinyl overlay gates.
